Panasonic VDRD250

Our local Panasonic shop is offering this camcorder at £199. For a standard definition, dvd based machine with optical stabilisation it seems a good machine but I can find hardly any reviews of it.
I would be interested to know what forum members and any users think of it.

That is an excellent price. I bought a similar model for my wife, the Panasonic VDRD 220 and the picture quality is superb and is very easy to use. I would buy it without hesitation.
