Sony DCR HC46 any good?

Hi guys, I recently recieved a canon md 160. played around with it and not impressed (if your interesed why another thread to follow). Sold it this morning. I found an older Sony DCR HC46 and wanted to see if anyone has one? Good or bad? the guy wants £229 for it, its brand new. I heard good things about the older Sony cameras (HC46, HC96) Fianlly what does the 'e' stand for on those models? I see some HC46e and other just HC46. Cheers

The "e" at the end of the model indicates the PAL version. Lots of places just don't show the full model number, but make sure the model you are getting is PAL.

HC46 was a decent camcorder. Video quality will be similar to the MD160.
