HV 20 questions

Well I had a change of heart at the last minute and have purchased the Canon HV20 so it's all your fault on here if it's awfull

However a couple of questions. I believe it does not come with a HDMI cable for watching straight from the camera to the tv Is this the standard HDMI cable you would use for other electrical items?

We are cruising on the QM2 which I believe runs on the US electrical voltage. Any problems with charging it up on board ship?

One other thing, I have purchased a ten pack of Sony premium tapes not the HD ones. Given it's the honeymoon is it worth spending the extra on the HD ones. One or two people state an improvement in contrast and colour using them.

Cheers guys.

i can answer the top and bottom question, standard hdmi and in my experience the very expensive ones are no better than cheap to mid priced,i have a 35 and 10£ lead and both look identicle picture wise.
sony premiums are fine hd do not give any picture improvement.regarding the charging there is way of charging your batteries on us electrics i would think.this may be neaded http://www.shopping.com/xPC-Hi-Tech-...HV20-Camcorder

Re: HV 20 questions

The chargers are all full range 90V - 240VAC, Chris. The only limitation is getting the right plug.

Re: HV 20 questions

Great camera mate, I have the same.

You'll be fine with US voltage. Either use a us converter plug or get a US kettle plug lead (figure of 8) and plug directly into the power pack as this is what I did.

Regular HDMI cable is all you need.

The regular Sony Premium DV tapes are brill, all I ever use.

Congrats again!
