1080p Hard Drive based Camcorders

hi,

i'm going to be looking to buy a hd camcorder (hard drive based) in the near future. what is currently out on the market that currently captures in 1080p. also, what is round the corner that might be worthwhile holding out for?

i am not looking to buy for a few months because i am in new york at the end of april and might buy there if the price difference warrants it.

any recommendations/advice/websites of interest would be much appreciated!

Re: 1080p Hard Drive based Camcorders

For models available now, there is the Canon HG10 (25p).

Coming soon (at least I don't think it's out yet) is the Panasonic SD9, but that is flash memory, not HDD.

Canon is also launching new flash models which are 25p.

And in this thread, it seems JVC has a new one comming which is 60p (so I assume 50p for PAL countries).
New JVC HD Camcorders announced 1920x1080p !

Re: 1080p Hard Drive based Camcorders

None of Sony's current models (or recently announced) have 25p.

I've only had a quick play with an HG10, and seen others footage. Senu has recently done a trial of one; we also have HG10 users who can jump in.
