got a mini dv cam and when l connect it up to my plasma through svideo cable l get no sound, am l connecting through the wrong cable ?
appreciate anyones help !

S-Video cables only carry video, not sound. You need to plug in the red and white phonos too.

thats sorted that, at least now l can catch up on some old home movies,
also sometimes the picture goes black and white any idea what that maybe ?

When play through s-vhs your TV will usually sav AV1 which will be in black and white, you need to make sure your TV is set to s-vhs ie AV1-s which will be in colour.
