Canon HV20 - mini sd card size advice

Hi Guys,

Just got my new toy and am currently getting to grips with using it.

I see the HV20 can also take a mini sd card, the manual states 2Gb.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried a larger mini sd in there cam, say 4Gb for instance.

Also I'm after advice on what brands of mini sd cards to use, and where to buy these cards at a good price.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Regards

Chris.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you are going to be recording video onto the mini SD card, will you? It is only for stills, and I think that 2GB will last you quite some time before it gets full.

Nope Rhubarbe, had no intension of putting video on the mini sd just stills I'm aware of that.

It's just for my own curiosity, wondering if anyone has tried a larger type card is all.

Can't help with the 4gb SD card, I find 1gb plenty but then I don't take photos but you will need a card to perform the "Aperture lock trick"

see here, if you haven't already done so
