I have been looking to buy a new camera and i came across this on qvc today, its a JVC camecorder only recently introduced. I wasnt really looking for a camcorder but i was impressed with the zoom (35 x optical) a long zoom was something i was looking for in a compact camera.

Can anyone tell me from the specifications if this does macro mode, Here are the specs

Mr.Me, below are the bits I could find in the manual, hope this helps.

Page. 22 there is a footnote as follows:

Macro shooting is possible as close as approx. 5cm to the subject when the zoom lever is set all the way to W.

Page. 26 there is also the following note:

Tele Macro. Enables you to shoot a subject as large as possible at a distance of approx. 50cm. On/Off option.
