Canon MVX3i/Optura XI lens hood?

Hi everyone,

A friend has asked me to ask you all to help them track down the part number for a Canon lens hood to fit their MVX3i/Optura XI please. It has a bayonet fitting and they would rather have the correct hood, than purchase a 46mm screw on type. Aparantly, the manual for the camera is a joke under the section headed 'Attaching the lens hood' and here's what the manual says:

Attaching the Lens Hood.

Attach the enclosed ferrite core before you connect the CA-570 Compact Power Adapter to the camcorder.

The mind boggles at the translation!
