Re: copying to dvd

To create a DVD disc that will play on any DVD player you need to create the correct file/folder structure - ie author a DVD. I don't use Nero to do this, but you will need to select an option called something like 'make Video DVD' rather than just copying the files into Nero and burning the disc. That will just create a data DVD that happens to contain video files.

Re: copying to dvd

Nero should do what you want, but as I said I don't use it for this so can't advise the exact method to create a video DVD with it.
I use Ulead DVD MovieFactory to create my DVD's and it can be downloaded for a free 30 day trial from Here. It is very easy to use (well if I can use it..... ) and gives excellent results.

Re: copying to dvd

Try Ulead Movie Factory ( as suggested by Mark) .. and specify a 4.7Gb sized DVD
Use Dual Layer Discs with care , not all software support them and even in those which do, the results can be variable
