Just got myself one of these, after reading quite a few generally good reviews... my first camcorder...
I am puzzled as to the widescreen capabilities of the cam.. I have set it to 16:9 an dshot some video, but the resulting vide does not come out as a widescreen format...

According to the onscreen display, its set to 16:9, yet during playback, the image actually looks squashed on the pc (widescreen monitor), and the media infor clearly states 4:3...
