Transferring IFO files to DVD

Please can someone help!!

I have a sony handycam with mini dvd's.
I copied the dvd files onto my PC and the created IFO files.
I am struggling though to burn these files onto larger DVD's. I have nero and it does not recognise the files.
Excuse my technical inadequacies, but I do need some assistance with this as I would like to start creating these DVD's.
Please can someone help or advise on what to do?

Re: Transferring IFO files to DVD

Hi

Your burned mini DVD should have a folder called VIDEO_TS on it.

Open Nero (normal mode, not one of the wizards) and tell it you want to make a DVD Video.

A window will open which already has a red VIDEO_TS folder in it. Copy the files from the VIDEO_TS folder on your mini DVD into that folder and you should be able to burn it.

You don't just need IFO files though - you need the complete set of files as they are (un-fiddled with) on the source DVD.

If you need to edit the content or merge the content from more then one mini DVD, that's a whole different issue.

Re: Transferring IFO files to DVD

You could use this freebie http://filehippo.com/download_dvdshrink/
Just open your dvd or files and choose whether you want to make an Iso image and burn or just create a folder .It will use nero to burn ..

Here is where you can get tuition on using it http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/46/59/

You might even consider Imgburn which is free again just put the dvd in ask it to read the ask it to write
http://www.imgburn.com/
