my choice of two different camcorders

I have my eye on two completely different camcorders, I am wondering which one you guys prefer as I have no previous experience of camcorders.

1st one
Panasonic NV - GS320 MiniDv
this is the one that was recommended to me and is miniDV, I also hear good things about the image stabiliser so might be good for a beginner?

2nd one
Sony DCR-SR32 Hard Disc Drive
Now this is something I have looked at without any recommendations, I think it looks smarter and is a more upto date form of recording its also about £50 cheaper, but I have no idea what the quality difference is between the two, also looking for low light condition shooting.

Would really appreciate your views I always ponder like this before purchasing and I wish I didnt!

Re: my choice of two different camcorders

Does this help?

Is the Sony DCR-SR32 really that bad?

Jan/Feb is a common time to launch new models, but for miniDV the trend is for less choice and reduced features each year (as there is more focus on High def models and on other media). So I doubt you'll see anything better than the GS320 in that price range.
