Burning RTAV files onto DVD

Hello hope ,someone can help me.

I have a sony handycam and burnt the mini DVD's onto my PC which in turn have created RTAV files.
I have a DVD recorder but am unable to burn these onto DVD as apprently (according to Sony) I need to have the right piece of software in order to do this. Nero is no good. This can be downloaded for free apparently but I can't find it anywhere on the net.
Can anyone help or advise me on what I need to do.
Many thanks.

Re: Burning RTAV files onto DVD

Not a clue. I went to the Sony centre the other day and was advised to find the name of the file that has been copied onto my PC (RTAV) and then look to see on the internet through a search for some free software which I can download which will assist me burning onto DVD.

Re: Burning RTAV files onto DVD

No need for special software....The RTAV structure is just an alternative to the VIDEO_TS structure. Discs with RTAV are so called DVD-VR, you can burn it with any software (as data disc or DVD-ROM) on your PC, but can only be played in DVD-VR compatible players which are mainly DVD Recorder settop boxes....
