Hi. I'm looking to buy a camcorder and I am new to this so would like some advice as to which camcorder I should go for. My budget is £200 although £180 would be ideal. I've seen a Panasonic VDRD160EB at £180. Can anyone offer any advice as to which one I should go for. Is this Panasonic a decent one to buy?

That's an entry level DVD camcorder. You'll get better quality with a DV model, also there can be issues with DVD camcorders failing to finalise, accidently ejecting the disc, etc. I'd suggest a DV model, e.g. Canon MD101.
