I am trying to connect a Swann Audio Spycam UK spec to record onto my Canon MV750i via the AV in but cannot find the right menu setting to change the source to the spycam. Swann have confirmed compatability of spycam with DVR so all should be plain sailing!!!

Have emailed Canon without any help whatsoever!

Any ideas anyone.........

I don't know the cam but what you normally do is put the cam into VCR mode. This then lets you use it as a VCR and record whatever is connected to it via the AV port. If the cam is in its normal record mode then all it will record is what is seen through the lens.

Maybe a cable problem?

You may also need to enable AV-in in one of the menus.
