Need help finding battery for DCR-SR30

I don't know whether I am looking at the correct batteries for my Sony DCR-SR30 Handycam

I am currently using an infolithium P series, NP-FP50,
i am wanting another battery that will let me record for a constant 2 & 1/2 hours without stopping, (3 hrs to be on the safe side)

are these what I should be looking at;

Yes, go for the FP90 to be safe..

However - these are all non-Sony, and your model number isn't listed, your camcorder may reject them.

Re: Need help finding battery for DCR-SR30

I need an FP90 ASAP, could you put me on the right tracks, maybe give me a link when they WILL be some for my camcorder model, 'Sony DCR-SR30' also it has 'DCR-SR30' on the camcorder and has 'DCR-SR30E' on the manual

I need to be quick at buying 1,

I even thought of just buying 3 FP50 batteries and just swap them over when 1 runs out, but that'll be stupid won't it?? and cost more

Re: Need help finding battery for DCR-SR30

I'll try to elaborate. Sony wants you to use their genuine batteries. Over time they have been putting greater intelligence into the batteries and camcorders to reject non-genuine ones. The non-Sony battery makers try and fight back to update their batteries to fool the camcorder.

It is possible the SR30 may reject a fake whilst an older model will accept it.

So the only way to make sure the battery will work is to buy a genuine one.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-NP-FP90...6370337&sr=1-7

If you want to buy a non-genuine one, then find one which lists your model as supported; then if it doesn't work you can complain and get a refund.
