Anyone bought a Sony HC94E from e-buyer recently ?

I was browsing these forums for advice a couple of months back and ended up buying the above camcorder from the ebuyer website.

I started having a good read through the manual today and getting all the stuff out of the box and it appears that I have no handycam station with it. This I need to connect it to a USB port. Now the instructions and the box both say this is included with this particular model but there is not one in the box.

I know just as I ordered mine, one or two others purchased the same model from the same website so I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem.

Thanks

HC96e we were recommending. Not an HC94e.

The HC94 is same as the 96 except it doesn't have AV/DV in; so if you don't need these it's an even better deal than the 96 (and I believe I did recommend it...). But it should have come with a docking station.

Why did you return it sam ?

I have to return mine to ebuyer for a new one to be sent with a docking station. In the meantime, I will be without a camcorder which I especially bought for when our daughter was born (5 days ago). Not particularly good service.

Re: Anyone bought a Sony HC94E from e-buyer recently ?

If it's any consolation (and I know it's frustrating to be without your new camcorder at this time - congratulations by the way!)... I returned my 2-month old Sony camcorder to ebuyer a week and a half ago, after I noticed a tiny speck on the inside of the lens. After first getting my Returns number, I phoned them on the Tuesday to arrange for a courier to collect it from me. It was picked up on the Wednesday afternoon, at the time they said, and first thing Friday morning, they'd inspected it and approved a replacement, which was with me on the Monday morning. So yes, bit unimpressive to send you the cam without a docking station, but hopefully they'll see you right asap.
