Low light for sony V1??? Help

having read nearly every review possible i still cant deciede on the sony V1 or cannon Ax a1. When they say the cannon is better in low light how low is that??? is that at night, or is that dusk. I want to film weddings , do u suppose the average wedding is low light , the wedding dance perhaps, I just cant deciede , i love the slow mo feature on the sony and footage look great but the low light issue is bothering me , does anyone own these cameras to give me a final answer as which to get

Also is final cut pro going to work with these cameras????

Re: Low light for sony V1??? Help

I can only pass on reports from someone I know who has both... overall they are both excellent, hard to say which is better. The XH-A1 is reported to be better in low light, in practice there is little difference. Dancing at the reception, where the lights will be low, is low-light... but you can overcome this with a video light. Any camcorder will struggle in low light (and high def ones even more so); the differences between these 2 is very small. But adding a light both will improve dramatically.

And yes, FCP supports HDV; both are HDV.
