Need help on choice

,Basically im and in a huge debate as to purchase the sony V1U, or the cannon XL2, if anyone has any suggestions please can they help, they are around the same pirce but i understand that the xl2 does not shoot HD
any help would be amazing

Right, the XL2 is standard definition only.
It's a nice cam but I'd rather go HD.
You could also consider the Canon XH-A1.
