camcorder with Av in buying advice please

hi all been a while since Ive posted on here but hope you can guide me, I currently have a sony hc 42e camcorder which has av in but for some reason I cannot get it to work with a bullet camera Ive just boughtfor use in a track car. Im not the most technical minded so If there is something I need to do with my current camcorder Im all ears if It can be made to work !

failing that I need a recomdation for a new camcorder that must have av in , Ive been round some shops today and was particularily wanting another sony and none of them have av in, also my current camcorder is mini dv tape, the guy in the store suggested that would be my best bet for the use I have in mind as the hard drive type wont work well with heavy vibration.

thanks in advance for advice or if this has been asked regular a point in the right direction of threads on this subject.

also Im not wanting to spend fortunes.

Oh, yes they do.

AV-in and AV-out

Bargain of all time too, BTW.

Or DV in/out?

eBuyer spec says built-in mic (and NTSC)! Will it take external sound in then?

Re: camcorder with Av in buying advice please

HC96 has AV in/out and DV in/out. The AV in includes audio.

I don't think tkey ebuyer model is really NTSC, I think that is an error, best to confirm with them.

Re: camcorder with Av in buying advice please

thanks for that, I also spoke to the guy that sold me the bullet cam this afternoon and he also recomended the sony hc96e as well as others that will have av in inc sony 30 /32 / 40 / 42 90 / 96 or canon mv 960 , I guess these are not current models as the 4 shops I went into day no one had a camcorder with av in.

Im a sony fan so the 96e is looking favourite at the mo.

Re: camcorder with Av in buying advice please

The ebuyer HC96 isn't NTSC. If you look closely the code ends in e. DCR-HC96e, same as HDR-HC1e where e denotes PAL.
