JVC gz-mg155 or gz-mg500?

Hey, I am looking for a new camcorder and the two I am between right now are the JVC gz-mg155 or the gz-mg500. I see some advantage to the mg155 because it has a 30gb hard drive, but also like the mg500 because it has 3ccd. I dont fully understand the terminology, but wouldn't 3ccd be higher quality? The downside (sort of) is that the mg500 only has a 4gb microdrive, but those are relatively cheap, and removable, so that could be an advantage. From my research it doesnt seem like the hard drive technology is fully perfected yet. I could get the mg-505, which includes the 30gb hdd and 3ccd, but its much more pricy. What do you all think?

Thanks.

Between those two I'd go for the gz-mc500.

There is more to a camcorder than the sensor(s), but all else being equal 3 CCDs are generally better than 1 (of the same size); also larger CCDs better than smaller.

The MC500 is an older model, but was top of the range; it has 3 1/4.5" CCDs. The MG155 is a budget model with a single 1/6" CCD. If they are anywhere near close in price the MC500 is the better choice.
