Re: Demultiplex H264 Transport Stream?

personally for things like this I use Cannopus Pro-coder and convert the video to a more managable format like MPEG2 (1080p) and leave the audio untouched, I can choose a container format or have the elementary streams outputted.
I try to keep everything in their original format though and if it's worth it then burn to a BDMV disc.

To be honest, with something like heroes it would be quicker & easier to download the 1080i MPEG2 version shown in the USA

Don;t think the camcorder forum is the right place for this by the way

I would have suggested Canopus Procoder2 as well , but to be fair , the forum is camcorders and video editing .
If you think the Sky HD forums would be more useful ( or any other) suggest it so I redirect the thread otherwise it might be deleted if it seems there are multiple threads on the same subject

..What's with promoting Illegal Content?, Besides the 360 does not support Mpeg 2

Never mind.. regardless of source, Procoder2 can turn any format to anything.. including wmv-HD which the Xbox 360 does support.
If you have any difficulty obtaining it Procoder express may be just fine
Is it Ok to close this one now then?

Re: Demultiplex H264 Transport Stream?

I want Native source, I don't like re-ecodes, how much is that program $2000?, then yes it would be difficulat obtaining it, unless you meant another way.., and I still see that post about aquiring content illegaly... I tried a demo of elecard xmuxer pro which is suppose to support H264 but it does not... why most programs do not support that as an input format?

Re: Demultiplex H264 Transport Stream?

Procoder is not $2000.. more like £350 Here

Procoder 3
accepts H .264 as an input and ? output format if you want to have a look at it on the link
As for the post about acquiring illegal content . there is no mention of how to do it and from where so Ill just let it pass ..
It happens and I don't think he was promoting it , only alluding to an alternative to your BBC HD recording

As it happens Im not sure how you get Xbox 360 to play it without reencoding unless it supports the native format (h.264) you got it off BBC HD from

As for obtaining it I was alluding to the fact that now ver3 is out ver 2 may be in short supply.. nothing more underhand..
And the fact that Procoder Express only costs £45 and may do the job

Does that mean your search continues then? . I don't imagine there is that much out there like it.. maybe bespoke software as used by Sky and BBC in their HD divisions
Ill ask one or 2 Guys tommorow but it maybe that whatever they use is tied to their custom built hardware
If you have any access to imovie 08 on the mac its worth a go... I think

Re: Demultiplex H264 Transport Stream?

Thanks for your help Senu, well I tired that Canopus Program, and well it is pretty limited, does not even let you creat custom export profiles, most of the features are locked, after some digging I managed to find the Ipod settings so you can adjust bitrate/resolution, seems it uses Quicktime for this, anyway Exporting H264 Video + Mpeg Audio to Ipod format "H264+AAC Audio", it plays but the audio is out of sync, never had this before, so my search continues, the program won't let you demultiplex the audio and video only transcode, also will not handle H264 Video with AC3 audio, only Mpeg audio, so as you say my search continues...

There are loads of mpeg 2 .ts demultiplexors out there, i.e MPEG2TS, HDTV2MPEG, TSCONVERTOR, but can't find one for H264.ts..,

Re: Demultiplex H264 Transport Stream?

procoder supports AC3 (which the BBC broadcasts audio in) and you can output to whatever you want (or leave untouched)

As for all the "what's with promoting illegal downloading" etc, he has the original recording from BBC HD, he (presumably) pays his TV license, it's only like getting a different version of it, it's not like he's downloading something from the cinema or music that he should be paying for. Lighten up peeps

anyway, for demuxing h264 ts files try this:

Locked maybe because it a trial version. If it worked all the way you would buy it ..would you?

Such is the nature of the format.. Well mmace has just popped on a link,, Failing that imovie08 may be worth a look only because it edits h.264 natively

The what good is having a trial if I can't test the features that I want, and as the other guy said, it supports ac3 with mpeg 2, but not the ac3 with H264 stream as it defaults for looking for AAC stream...
