Where to find extra Sony Vegas Plug-ins

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best place to download extra plug-ins for Vegas. I'm really after good explosion/shatter effects and also 3D text.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mark

Re: Where to find extra Sony Vegas Plug-ins

Redsox_Mark to the rescue

Because Avid Liquid 7 ( which I use as well) comes with so many FX inherited from Combustion ( for free) I haven't needed Plug ins for Vegas

However the latest Ver 8 (pro) has much improved titling ( Titling was never Vegas strongest point). It also has Multicam which was an Excalibur plug in
For Plug ins
A good starting place ( pointed to me by Mark but never actually used by myself)

This I found on my web travels and bookmarked but haven't given another look since

Agree, and you can save your own fx made from clever keyframing but it involves a certain level of "Dexterity " ( read cleverness) which I dont have myself ( thick??) .. or Im too impatient to learn
Avid Liquid similarly had 2D ,3D and Hollowood FX editors which allow you to customise and save the many built-in effects to your hearts delight

Re: Where to find extra Sony Vegas Plug-ins

The Vasst site Senu linked to is what I have used; there are many free plug-ins, others available to purchase.

Another popular package is Excalibur, I've not used it myself

Re: Where to find extra Sony Vegas Plug-ins

The HDV smart rendering doesn't work properly in Vegas 8 (a fix is comming). The new titler is nice, though wish they had upgraded the credit roll instead. Personally I think I'll stay with Vegas 7 (I need to watch my pennies at the moment) but in general it's worth it, especailly if coming from an older version.
