Pixilated Lines Form?

Hello everyone, I've had an annoying video glitch for quite some time that I just can't figure out. Pixilated lines that comes from nowhere every now and again with my videos. They usually form at the top of the screen lasting for only a second. I would greatly appreciate any advise and/or help on this issue. I would love to find out on how to fix this annoying issue. Also, my camera is a JVC Everio 20GB.

Here are some close ups.

I don't get it.

Re: Pixilated Lines Form?

Do the lines appear on playback when viewed through the TV/CAM's LCD or are they only visible on playback through your computer ?

If the lines are visible on all, then normally I would suggest that the video heads might be dirty, although I don't believe HD camcorders have video heads

Could be a fault in the cams circuty

Re: Pixilated Lines Form?

As for when I play it back on a TV or the camcorder, I see none of these lines and/or glitches. I'm sure it's not my computer seeing though it's not slow whatsoever. Here's the specs: Dell XPS 410 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz 2.39 GHz, 4.00 GB of RAM. A friend told me it may be an interlacing issue, but when I tried to de-interlace the video, nothing changed. This is seriously just eating at me.

Re: Pixilated Lines Form?

It's annoying, but personally I wouldn't bother too much if it's ok on the TV,I presume it's also playing ok when burned and played on a dvd, at least you know it's not the cam and that's the most important thing.

Try downloading a different player or try turning background apps off on the computer, these can interfear with video playback.
