Looking to buy Sony video editing original software or help with AVS editor

Your camcorder seems to be a MiniDV model. They hardly ever come with any software and even when they do it tends to be seriously underwhelming.

I would seek any mainstream NLE software . ( do a simple search here for favourites) They generally tend to have decent encoders in addition to the ability to edit the footage and author DVDs

If you do want to stick to Sony software then have a look for Sony Vegus Studio. But as senu has already stated any editing software will do what you want. A search of this forum will bring up a list of the favourites and most of them can be downloaded for a free 30 day trial to find which one/ones you like the workflow of best.
