Zebra Patern.

Can anyone explain how this works, whats it for and how I can use it, or point me in the right direction on here?

I'm using a Sony HDR-HC7E and it seems to have 2 settings one or 70 something and one for 100 something.

Re: Zebra Patern.

It is to help when you manually set the exposure, to show you if you are overexposing.
Over 100 IRE it will look overexposed. So with the 100 setting, if you see Zebra stripes you are overexposing. Using 70 gives you more of an early warning (you see the stripes at a lower level of exposure).
