Help with XM2! Is it gonna cost?

I have a Canon XM2 and jwhen I switched on the camera on Sunday I got a red screen rather that the normal colour.

Both the views through the eyepiece and the monitor screen were red in appearance. The words 'Black and White' were flashing and nothing I did altered the view. The camera plays previously recorded tapes in the usual way, but recording still hat this red donination. It was perfectly ok when I had turned it off three days earlier. I would appreciate any info or help regarding this matter, thanks very much.

You may have already 'sussed' this but anyway. Don't know about the red screen. The flashing 'Blk & Wht' indicates that you have a Digital Effect in operation (See page 60/61 of the manual). Press D.Effect button on side of camera then D.Select button then select off from the menu

Hope that helped
