Hey there , this is my first post, so i just wanna say hi to everyone... as cheesy as that looks as i write it
Anyways yesterday i dug out my old Sony DC-TRV14E from the attic along with all the cables and what not. I really wanted to drag all the old home movies of the kids onto movie maker and maybe do a lil bit of editing.
When i plugged the camcorder in the USB cable it recognized it but said that there needed to be some new software to be installed to update it. I went along to sonys website downloaded the software and restarted my computer. Then when i put my camcorder in i recognized it and the before the software started installing, it claimed that the software i needed didnt have a license or was expired or something, and that accepting may lead to viruses etc. So i didnt accept the program and now dont have any home movies on my computer

,
Should i have trusted Sonys software because they are a reliable company?
And is there anything that can recognize my old camcorder, and help me resurect our old movies
Thanks alot
