Vegas 5 and Vista

Hi folks,
I've done a search and pretty much understand that Vegas 5 isn't compatible with Vista. As the elastic band on this PC is going, I'm thinking of geting a new laptop.
Having spent the £££s (albeit a few years ago) and being happy with Vegas 5, are there any patches that can be applied to overcome it's compatibility issues?

Don't know of any patches... but until Oct 31 you can upgrade to Vegas Pro 8 for $135 USD (approx £70).

Senu,

Re: Vegas 5 and Vista

Mark,
Does that upgrade price apply to a jump from 5?

Thank Mark
Very reasonable pricing.. but probably download only as Im sure the retail version will not get to these shores before Oct 31
Its very worth upgrading to not just because of Vista .. If you use it it really is VFM
If you are happy with 5 you're bound to love Ver 8

Re: Vegas 5 and Vista

Yes $135 USD is the download price. It is $150 packaged, but to get this price you need to order direct from the USA, so you would need to pay for the postage as well.

Re: Vegas 5 and Vista

I must admit, I'm very tempted. Though I may order shipped if I go ahead as the laptop isn't a definet and if it happens, won't come till next month.
Thanks guys for the heads up. Really appreciated it.
