Windows Movie Maker

Hi, i have two questions to ask.

Just borrowed someones tape of my wedding to put on the PC and they have have turned the video camera on it's side at times during filiming, is there a way to turn the film round in windows movie maker or any other program as it doesn't make for good watching on it's side.

Also with the AVI file that i have made in windows movie maker, when i go to the folder where it is located i get a windows data execution message which when i click on it causes my computer to stop responding and i then have to restart my PC, if i ignore the message the file plays fine, does anyone know how i can correct this problem.

Thanks
