Exporting to tape via Premiere

Hello,

I have been attempting to export a 30 minute tv show to tape via Premiere Pro 1.5. We have a Sony HDR-FX1 dv cam hooked up to a pc.

We have successfully exported to tape with a trial version of a different program. So it looks like there is some sort of setting in Premiere that is inteferring with us being able to export to tape.

When I try to export to tape in Premiere, the screen pops up and says "recording" for 30 seconds maybe and then says "recording successful." But the timecode never moved and I didn't hear the tape engage or anything. Any ideas/advice?
