JPEG to DVD

What's the easiest and best way to convert JPEG video clips onto DVD?

Cheers,
Ted.

Re: JPEG to DVD

Jpegs are still image file format..

M-Jpeg is a video format such as Ive previously described in your other threads> It is a compressed format which was really meant for PC viewing .. not meant for editing or turning to DVD

Im not sure if Ulead Movie factory
accepts M-jpegs as an input ,
If it does it is one program which will convert it to DVD mpeg2 and help you create a DVD video: That would (IMO) be the easiest way. The quality will certainly be short of DVD quality from a DV AVI or Mpeg2 from a "proper " camcorder

If not you will need software which can convert the Mjpeg to an Mpeg2
It is possible some Video editing programs can but I cant think which off the top of my head
I have used an Mjpeg n the past ( from Canon A95 Digital Still) . I had to use Canopus procoder 2 to convert it to a format acceptable to Ulead Movie Factory 5 to turn it into a DVD

Re: JPEG to DVD

"What's the easiest and best way to convert JPEG video clips onto DVD?"

Do you simply want to turn your photos into a slideshow DVD ?? or even add video clips to a slideshow ,as well as photos to a DVD ??

Re: JPEG to DVD

I haven't looked at this for a while but could you author a slide show in Windows Movie Maker and then create this into an avi and then convert that to DVD?

I'm on Windows XP and the media player will neither play the clips or put them on disc.

I Have to watch them through Quicktime.

Hi Ted

I dont think anyone has asked you where you got these clips from - knowing this might help.

Re: JPEG to DVD

Thanks for replying for me.

I wanted someone who has put such clips onto disc to say..I used this software, it was easy, it works.

I have no idea as regards computer jargon so most of you replies have gone straight over my head.

Analogue, the clips are off a canon TX1.

Re: JPEG to DVD

If you got the TX1 for Stills and can dabble with PhotoEditing, I would very gently suggest you lose the fear of "computer jargon". The concepts are probably new to you but while not dead easy are by no means rocket science and are learn able ( The results of such learning are IMO rewarding)

In trying to turn the Clips to DVDs you are " flirting " with slightly more than basic computer use

The TX1 is new and unless anybody else here ( apart from me) has turned m-jpegs in to DVD video, you'll find that they have mostly been viewed on the PC without any further modification

If suggestions are thin on the ground

I would suggest you go back and try this software I linked in post#2

.. It has a free trial version if you don't want to slash out for the full version
