AFAIK all PCI firewire cards should be compatible with Vista - including the Belkin one! The reason for this is that firewire does not require any driver software to be used as any software is all part of the Windows install. I suggest that you just get hold of a cheap ~£10 firewire400 (better known as standard firewire) card including cable and try it out. Don't bother getting the more expensive firewire800 as camcorders do not require the extra transfer speed this offers.
