Cannon 101 OR JVC GRD 720 ?

Can you suggest which one to go for please? I am not interested in still pictures. good results is what I am after.

I would suggest the Canon, but I have to say I've not seen the JVC or any reviews. My opinion is based on my knowledge of the Canon, and also previous JVC models.

In terms of spec they are similar, but the MD101 has an external mic input which is something I value a lot.
