DVin on the Sony DCR TRV340e ?

I hace the sony DCR TRV340e which is a smashing little gizmo. The only thing that lets it down is that it does not have DVin, but has DVout !!

I have a friend who has "hacked" his older model which too had DVout (not sure what model) by writing a few bytes to the E2 to enable the DVin !!

Has anyone else heard of this ?

And would it be possible to do this with my model...?

cheers

regards

There are software hacks for some camcorders, but these will invalidate the warrenty and could even damage the unit.
The other option is to buy a widget that is hardware/software solution that has been tested and is guarenteed. Prices start from around £40.
