Can a AVCHD video play in a HDTV in 720p? For example, the sony HD camcorder record the film in 1080i, but i just can't find if it can be played in 720p...

Not sure what you mean by play it in 720p.

Your recordings will be 1080i. You can write these native AVCHD files to a DVD and play them in your PS3. If your HDTV is 720p, it will display fine on it.

In software you can convert the videos to 720p format (e.g. .wmv format, or .m2t format). I don't believe you can convert it to 720p AVCHD format, as the few editors which support editing AVCHD don't support it as an output format, i.e. you can't render out to that format.
