Playing AVHCD files in DD5.1

I've got a UX1 HD DVD camcorder which I am very pleased with, with one exception.

Using the bundled software or Ulead VS 11 I cannot play back the native unedited video files (.m2ts ) either on the camcorder, or from my PC (which has 5.1 onboard.

PC has TOSLink to the AV Amp - all that side of things works fine. DVD movies played with PowerDVD come out in 5.1

Anyway, short question is, does anyone know of a software based AVCHD player app which will decode the AC3 5.1 audio when I AVCHD files?

Unlike many I dont need to edit my footage.

Oh and Sony's support deny they are even the author of Motion Picture Browser. Anyone know who the author is?

Cyberlinks' Power DVD ultra or Ver 7 & may be worth a look.... I keep getting E-mail reminders of how wonderful it is
