Canon MV960

Hi there,

I have had a friend bring over their video camera to try and put their footage on my computer to edit a movie. However, he couldn't find the cable to connect the camera to the computer so I found my son's psp cable which had the same connector. The cable has lit up blue and the camera recognises it is on 'PC Connect' but the computer (a MacBook) has had nothing register, or pop up on the desktop. Any ideas to get the computer to recognise the camera?? We have switched the power of the camera on and played video to no avail.

Thanks,
Clueless

Re: Canon MV960

To copy video off the tape you need to use Firewire. The MV960 has connections for both a Firewire cable (for video transfer) as well as a USB cable for copying stills off the memory card.

The cable you have used is a USB cable. That's the problem.
