Infored Nightshot plus Vs Assist Lamp
What do folks here prefer ?
I have a Sony cam HDR -HC35 which has a nightshot plus switch , which uses infored light and you can see the image clearly but everyting looks green or the low light digtal effects option on the Canon cams that you can use in thier night modes?

Re: Infored Nightshot plus Vs Assist Lamp
Interesting question. Neither is ideal.
The advantage of the Sony nightshot is you can shoot in total darkness.
The advantage of the Canon approach is you can mix this footage with ordinary footage and it won't stand out so much (as the green/white).
