Digital remastering software

Hi all

I've searched as many different possibilities in google for this and drawn a blank so thought I might try my luck here..

is it possible to get hold of software to digitally enhance old videos on the PC ie vhs, mpg/mpeg. I'm looking for something I can just point to the file and say - there you go do your stuff! (not especially techy) - does such software exist or is it still the domain of large companies..?

TIA

Re: Digital remastering software

I think that the Digital remastering of old movies is possible with some budget and most midrange Editing software but not in the automated way you seem to prefer
It is probably painstakingly done for each video as an "Auto fix" may produce unexpected results given how different the footages are likely to be
