No sound when trimming in DVD Movie Factory 6

Has anyone else come across this problem. I have no sound when trimming MPEG video therefore making it very difficult to judge where to put the markers. Let me explain.

I've imported a MPEG into movie factory. It plays with no problems, specifically the sound is there and is in synch.

When I enter the Edit Room and preview the MPEG, again the sound is there and in synch.

However if I try to play the video from in the Set Mark-in/Mark-out or Multi-Trim Video sub menus there is no sound to accompany the preview.

In case it matters the MPEG was catpured from MicroMV and I'm running DVD Movie Factory 6 on Windows XP SP2.

Thanks in advance.
