A workmate has offered me his MG21 which was a gift to him a few months back and has hardly been used. I am aware of the negative reviews regarding picture quality and wondered how much would be a fair price ? As yet I don't have a camcorder, but with a little'un on the way I know I really need one. Is this a good starter model for general family movies and some car/track stuff when I have time to play ?

Any replies and opinions appreciated.

You could check on ebay and see if you can find any and what they went for, but I'd think somehere between £150 and £200 would be reasonable.

It's easy enough to use and will work OK... quality not as good as a budget DV camcorder.

He was wanting £300 and I was pushing for £200. He said he might meet half way at £250, but that's a definite NO! now. Thanks for that link
