SONY DVD-106e which mediums support?

Hi

I recently bought the Sony DVD camcorder DSC DVD 106e. The operators manual states that trhe following disks are supported.

DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R , DVD+RW, DVD+R DL.

The reason I am starting this thread is to be informed if the SONY DVD 106e can support DVD +or- RW dual layer. It seems to me pretty odd why they claim that only DVD+R DL are supported but not DVD+RW DL or DVD-RW DL.

Thanks

I would believe what the manual says. Though it is possible that say a new +RW dual layer disc could work, but Sony didn't certify with them so they are not officially supported.

I'm not even sure if +RW or -RW dual layer discs exist?
Certainly the supplier I use doesn't have them

They have mostly +R (which was the first and most common dual layer), and a few -R.
