Hi Im new, can you guys look at these vids for your opinion?

Im buying a new camcorder this weekend (£200 ) to replace the one we dropped on the beach and ruined (Canon Mv800 ).

Im interested in buying something different this time and my eye is on the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG6.

I cant see many good reviews(not bad) but I did find some videos on the web from the camera on the SANYO site. Would some of you run your eyes over a few vids and let me know if theyre okay.

This link is sampe vids. Please right click and download

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I'm not impressed.

The zoo clip was in good light, and was free of noticable noise, but it wasn't very sharp.

The lady outdoors had lots of noise/grain... now it was low light and this is an inexpensive camcorder so I need to keep it in perspective... but I think replacing your camcorder with another DV model (like the Canon MD101) would give you better pictures.

Just my opinion.

evilgenius, you could also consider the Canon TX1, which is yet to come out, but can be gotten off eBay for about £300. It is quite small as well, and flash based, plus takes 720p HD video. I have put some videos up online - you could compare them to the Sanyo and see which one you like better.
