JVC-GZ-HD7 Review

Just posted here

http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content...der-Review.htm

The conclusion is interesting - it compares the HD7 with the Sony SR1, the Sony HC7, the Canon HV20, and the Panny SD1 - and concludes that none is a clear winner. The strengths of the HD7 are build construction and handling/controls, e.g. a nice focus ring.

Also interesting is that whilst the HD7 encodes to MPEG2, it seems there isn't editing support yet for this flavor of MPEG2. Whilst it should be easier to edit than AVCHD, it still means waitng for editing support.

Thanks... don't know what went wrong there.
I've fixed the link in my post as well, just in case others try it.

Re: JVC-GZ-HD7 Review

Hello all

Just to pick up on the point about editing on the GZ-HD7. For Apple Mac users the camera comes supplied with a "Quick Time component for Everio" which i have seen in action on a Mac using iMovie HD and i must say it works very well.
