Re: Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Vista

Officially, none of the Vegas family products is supported on Vista currently

I know people are using it with some success, but also there have been issues. I'm afraid it is use at your own risk.

Re: Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Vista

I have downloaded the free trial and so far it seems to work OK.

I think it may be best to hold off buying a copy and wait for the new version as noted in the Sony web page above.

Thanks Mark for the info.

Re: Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Vista

It works
Ive not had any issues TBH ( I Beta tested vista since Nov last year from RC2 to the "gold" RTM version, however Sony Media do release update patches for Vegas with reasonable frequently enough to use thier product confidently
However compatibility with Vista is a widespread issue for manufacturers of all third party software at the current time

Re: Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Vista

For me, it screws up my Windows Media Center! (did it twice, had to reinstall the Vista OS both times).

And then it wouldn't recognise my Sony HC-3.

So I am avoidining Vegas/Vista mix until it Sony Vegas specifically states that Vista is a supported OS.
