What sort of budget do you have in mind?

If you stick with Sony, Panasonic, or Canon, none of their DVD cams are "bad", but some are better values than others.

Re: HELP! Advice needed!

£200 for a DVD cam isn't really realistic, unless you find a great offer somewhere. Entry level DVD cams tend to be around £250 (web price).

Note DV camcorders tend to be better value at a given price point; you can get an entry level DV cam fron Canon (like the new MD101, or older MV890/MV901) for under £200, which will produce better quality video than a £250 entry level DVD cam. (If you spend £300-£400 you can get a DVD cam which is better than an entry level DV cam, but it stil won't be as good as a similarly priced DV cam).

Sticking with an entry level DVD cam - I suggest the Panasonic VDR-D100. Prices around £250

Others to consider are the Sony DVD106, or the Canon DC95/DC100.
