Question Burning VCDs

Wondering if anyone can help. I've done all the hard work of capturing my digital video onto my PC, I've editted it and converted it into MPEG1 or 2 formats.

I've then burnt it onto a CD-ROM but ... when I put this into my DVD player (a Cyberhome AD-528 which will play both of the abive formats) it comes up with 'Bad Disc' . I've tried several different makes of CD-ROM with no luck. I allow Windows XP to burn the disc.

Help appreciated!

You need to create a VCD rather than just burn the MPEG file to a CD.

Nero is the easiest solution but have a look at www.vcdhelp.com for info.

Thanks for that, it sounds like just what the problem is! I'll look for Nero.

Cheers

EasyCD Platinum will also burn VCD's, but it is stricter with MPEG1 file standards.

Also some players will not read CD-R's, more will read CD-RW's, and some are make sensitive.

The VCDHELP link in previous post also gives player comptability information.
