Firewire + Sony Camcorder

We've a PC with firewire, the same as Sonys iLink cables. Does this mean that with a Sony camcorder I can connect directly without a video capture card? I assume then that I would be able to edit the videos etc and burn to CD?

Good news, yes it does!

All you need is editing software, and a burner application capable of burning VCD's or SVCD's. EasyCD Platinum or Nero will do the burning.
