Re: Camcorder for Interviews?

What is your budget? You can get anything from a Canon MV890 (the cheapest with mic in) at £170 to pro models costing many thousands.

Re: Camcorder for Interviews?

Thanks for the reply, I want to spend around £200 - £300 but it needs to have an audio in socket so we can plug in an external microphone.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Camcorder for Interviews?

Canon is the best for offering mic inputs in it's entry level cams. Canon MV890 or MV901 both have a mic input, and are very good for the money, and cost under £200.
Better are the Canon MVX450/460, but they are very hard to find.

or the new Canon MD101 which is now available; £200

The MD101 is effectively a replacement for the MV890/MV901; I haven't seen it reviewed or in action but I would expect it to be as good or better than the older models.

Re: Camcorder for Interviews?

Thanks Mark

I will be sure to check these products out, alot of the websites I have been on dont seem to list if the camcorder has a mic input or not. I am thinking Jessops will have them in stock.

Thanks again for the help, very much appriciated!
